21,500 sqm state-of-the-art office space at a top location in climate-friendly timber construction
Vienna, 25 October 2023. The building permit for the LeopoldQuartier Office was received on 17 October. This office property is part of the LeopoldQuartier, Europe’s first urban quartier in timber construction which is currently under development by UBM. “The outstanding characteristics of the LeopoldQuartier Office include its climate-friendly timber construction and excellent location. Moreover, high-quality office space in Vienna has become extremely rare“, explained UBM-CEO Thomas G. Winkler, “and this building permit gives the property a unique selling point – and that for a longer period of time.“
The LeopoldQuartier Office is located on Vienna’s Danube Canal and will offer 21,500 square metres of of the most modern rental space. Visible timber surfaces and flexible floor plans create optimal conditions for the new working world. The ground floor will include space for businesses and gastronomy, the lower floor parking areas for 127 cars. The consequent use of geothermal energy and photovoltaics will make the LeopoldQuartier carbon-neutral for energy supplies, and renewable sources will provide 100 per cent of the required energy.
Construction on the LeopoldQuartier Office is scheduled to start in February 2024, and completion is planned for autumn 2025.
